10 tips about - Start practising Islam

1. Take your religion seriously

Do not treat religion as a joke, but realise that your relationship is serious and you must treat as such.

2. Stop wasting time in unimportant things

Many things, though allowed in Islam are not beneficial and spending too much time being busy in these will make you feel that you are too busy to worship Allah or practise Islam.

3. Give up old ideas and habits

You cannot expect to turn your life around if you still hold onto your bad habits, behaviour or unislamic values. In particular give up ideas of nationalism, pride, arrogance, partisan, greed and similar traits.

4. Change your friends

If you find that whenever you hang around certain people, you find yourself committing sins, swearing, backbiting, doing sins etc. Change your friends. If you cannot correct them and stop them, then find better friends to keep you company.

5. Account yourself

Question yourself regularly about how much you have changed and whether you are doing enough.

6. Control your desires

Stop yourself from committing sins or evil, do not allow yourself to fall into temptation, however hard it may be.

7. Increase your worship

Do more and more and slowly increase how much you devote time and effort to worship and please Allah.

8. Do not delay doing good deeds

Do not let the shaytaan convince you to hold back from doing good deeds, whatever the excuse. If it occurs to you to do a good deed, do it immediately

9. Study about the lives of the prophet and his companions

Studying about these people and their sacrifices, struggles and difficult lives will remind you and encourage you to remind strong.

10. Tell others about what you learnt

Don't hoard the knowledge, whatever you have learned and studying, spread it, tell others, encourage them with it and remind everyone.

There are 4 ways to use Happy Books To Do Lists.

  1. All to do lists by Happy Books can be viewed for free without any registration or details. However, objectives/steps cannot be ticked off nor progress recorded.
  2. A free temporary username can be created with only a name and an email address (optional) to receive alerts. This can be used on one computer only for 30 days, after which all progress and details will automatically be deleted. Happy Books will not retain any details.
  3. If you already have a Happy Books account or if you register for one free, you can store your to do list progress permanently and tick objectives for more than one name e.g. members of your family or staff, for free.
  4. If you purchase a subscription with a small fee, you can create your own private to do lists and add even more names to tick objectives for public and private lsits.

To use more than one user at a time, you must remain logged in. Users who wish to use a to do list without registering an account can tick off objectives for all lists for only 1 temporary name at a time.
