az-Zawod ‘ann al-Muslimeen - You must defend and protect Muslims. Allah says,
“And how could you refuse to fight in the cause of Allah and of the utterly helpless men and women and children who are crying, "O our Sustainer! Lead us forth [to freedom] out of this land whose people are oppressors, and raise for us, out of Your grace, a protector, and raise for us, out of Your grace, one who will bring us succour!" al-Qur’an, Surah al-Nisaa’, 4: 75
Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that the Prophet (saw) said:
"The believer is a mirror for the believer, and the believer is the brother of the believer. He safeguards his property for him and defends him from behind." Sunan Abu Dawood and al-Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad
