Hubb ur-Rasool - Loving the Messenger
You must love the Messenger Muhammad (saw) . Allah says,
“Say: "If your fathers and your sons and your brothers and your spouses and your clan, and the worldly goods which you have acquired, and the commerce whereof you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you take pleasure - [if all these] are dearer to you than Allah and His Apostle and the Jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah makes manifest His punishment; and [know that] Allah does not guide the sinners (disbelievers)." al-Qur’an, Surah al-Tawbah, 9: 24
The Prophet (saw) said,
“No one of you is a believer until he loves Allah and his Messenger more than anything else.” Saheeh al-Bukhari
And Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that the Messenger (saw) also said,
“By Him in whose hand my soul is! None of you has believed until I am more beloved to him than his parents and his children.” Saheeh al-Bukhari
